Beowulf - Good VS. Evil In Beowulf, the conflict between good and evilness is the poems main and most important aspect. The poet makes it clear that goodish and evil do not exist as unflurried opposites, but that both qualities ar present in everyone. Beowulf represents the blood line leader to do good, or to answer comports selflessly and in dish up of others. Goodness is also showed throughout this epical as having the cleverness to cleanse evil. Even though evil is presented by Grendel, Grendels mother, and the dragon, who are filled with a desire to act against people and lastly destroy them. Even pride, a military personnel quality, is presented in Beowulf as a sign that evil exists.
